I absolutely love this cuff. It's exactly as described and was cheaper than similar products advertised. I wear it every day!

Pretty
This is a nice accent peice. The Script is written in large enough text to be easy to read and the bracelet itself has a nice weight to it. Sterling Silver, gives it a nice clean high quailty look, and inscription holds a nice meaning "Life Is A Journey, Not a Destination, Enjoy The Moments" .

very cheaply made
I am very disappointed with this bracelet. Almost all of the black came out of the lettering the first time I wore it. Now the saying reads unclear, because some of the letters are black (not very many) some of them are partially black and most of them are just silver. So disappointing. The bracelet is not worth the cost and is more like cheap costume jewelry than sterling silver (fine jewelry).

Silver bracelet
This bracelet was a bit thinner than I thought it would be, but it is very pretty, and I do like it a lot.

Editorial Review :
This sterling silver message bracelet celebrates the enduring nature of a mother's love. The slim, shiny cuff bracelet is crafted in 925 sterling silver with an open back for an easy slip-on fit. It makes a heartfelt gift for a special mom.
Customer Review :
Bracelet is fragile and unexpectedly can break
My daughter gave me this bracelet almost a year ago now for Mother's Day and I treasured it -- very much so! However, after it broke down the middle, I discovered that it wasn't very sturdy, especially with this kind of open closure which makes it necessary to slightly spread to put on and take off. I was very disappointed last night when taking it off to have it break down the center as if it were very fragile. Now I have to spend $30 more so my daughter won't know this. Therefore, the bracelet is costing us $60 + postage instead of $30 as a gift!

thin but nice
This bracelet was a gift for my daughter. I was very pleased with the delicate look of it, as it is quite thin - and very pretty on the arm. The quality seems good, and hopefully will stand the test of time!

Customer Review :
Sweet inscription but disappointing product
Was a little disappointed, the "shading" on the inscription was rubbed off of 4 of the letters when i received the bracelet in the mail and after wearing it the rest have rubbed away. It is difficult to see what the inscription says now.

Serenity Bracelet
I wanted my spouse to have the Serenity prayer with him always, and this bracelet is beautiful. My spouse wears it every day, and the wonderful words are always there for him to reflect on.

Handsome / good quality
I bought this for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. It's very handsome and sturdy. Anyone who frequents the 12 step meetings or is in recovery would appreciate having the Serenity Prayer on their bracelet to help remind them of where their heart is, and to give them strength.

Beautiful
Bought this as a gift for my 20 y.o son. Very appropriate for the occasion. He is not a jewelry person per se..but this has a little edge. Wording is not large, but present. Cuff looks sharp on...not shiny. Would look great dressed up or down. Nice price.

Questions & Answers
Question : What is the physics involved in the blood pressure cuff used by doctors ?
Even in big shopping places free blood pressure systems take your pressure in a cuff which slowly squeezes around your arm and within a minute the numbers show out stating the low and high blood pressure at the time . What is the Physics involved ?
Answer:
f the cuff of a sphygmomanometer is placed around a patient's upper arm and inflated to a pressure above the patient's systolic blood pressure, there will similarly be no sound audible. This is because the pressure in the cuff is high enough such that it completely occludes the blood flow. It is similar to a flexible tube or pipe with fluid in it that is being pinched shut.If the pressure is dropped to just slightly below the patient's systolic blood pressure, the first Korotkoff sound will be heard. As the pressure in the cuff is slightly below the pressure produced by the heart, some blood will be able to pass through the upper arm when the pressure in the artery rises during systole. This blood flows in spurts as the pressure in the artery rises above the pressure in the cuff and then drops back down, resulting in turbulence that results in audible sound. As the pressure in the cuff is allowed to fall further, thumping sounds continue to be heard as long as the pressure in the cuff is between the systolic and diastolic pressures, as the arterial pressure keeps on rising above and dropping back below the pressure in the cuff.Eventually, as the pressure in the cuff drops further, the sounds change in quality, then become muted, then disappear altogether. As the pressure in the cuff drops below the diastolic blood pressure, the cuff no longer provides any restriction to blood flow allowing the blood flow to become smooth again with no turbulence and thus produce no further audible sound.Korotkoff actually described 5 types of Korotkoff sounds: 1. The first Korotkoff sound is the snapping sound first heard at the systolic pressure. 2. The second sounds are the murmurs heard for most of the area between the systolic and diastolic pressures. 3. The third and- 4. the fourth sound, at pressures within 10 mmHg above the diastolic blood pressure were described as "thumping" and "muting". 5. The fifth Korotkoff sound is silence as the cuff pressure drops below the diastolic blood pressure.Traditionally, the systolic blood pressure is taken to be the pressure at which the first Korotkoff sound is first heard and the diastolic blood pressure is the pressure at which the fourth Korotkoff sound is just barely audible. However, there has recently (2000 onwards) been a move towards the use of the 5th Korotkoff sound (i.e. silence) as the diastolic blood pressure, as this has been felt to be more reproducible. In pregnancy a fifth phase may not be identifiable, in which case the fourth is used. This change, and associated uncertainty adds to the difficulties in interpreting clinical studies of hypertension although modern trials will specify the method used.

Question : What effect does cuff size have on the accuracy of a blood pressure monitor?
Would a cuff that is too large give an artificially low reading?I used my dads blood pressure monitor, but his cuff is for someone with arms that are more than 30cm, mine are only 23cm. I pulled it as tight as i could get it, but the reading seems really low.
Answer:
You're exactly right. A too large cuff will give too low readings. A too small cuff will give too high readings. Just like Goldilocks and the three bears... you need a cuff that is "just right"... for you.

Question : Is it possible to alter the cuff on a leather jacket to a zippered cuff?
This is a pretty much a stretch, and kind of a crazy question at that. I've got a leather jacket that has snap cuffs and I was just curious on if anybody knows if it's possible and/or who would be able to alte that cuff into a zippered cuff instead. My instincts tell me it can't be done, but this never hurts.
Answer:
you may have to make a few trips to see the places and what kind of work they do- but it certainly can be done- no prob ( the extra width of the zipper will make up of any taking in of the leather to seam)Good luckDavid

Question : How much is blood pressure effected by the cuff used to measure it?
I had a health screening last friday and because I have a big upper arm the nurse used a large cuff and my BP was scarily high (140/104). Today I got it measured at a blood pressure kiosk with a "normal" sized cuff and it was better (123/84).I know both readings are high but I'm trying to track it to help decided if I want to take medication or not. I'm already trying to lose weight which I know will bring it down.
Answer:
ACtually, the cuff size can affect readings, but usually in the opposite way from what you have described. If you have a large upper arm, a larger cuff should be used and it should show a more accurate reading than the smaller (normal) sized cuff. This reading usually is lower than the reading obtained with the smaller cuff. What you may be experiencing is "white coat hypertension." Since a nurse took your pressure last friday, you might have been more aroused than when you were alone at a kiosk with no healthcare personnel around. Also, the automated machines will differ from a nurse who uses a stethescope to listen for the sounds. If you want to track reliably, get your own machine and use it at least once daily. You can get it calibrated at the doctor's office if you want to, but the more important thing will be how YOU perform over time on the same machine under similar testing conditions.

Question : Any tips on getting dirt smudges off of the sleeve cuff of my white cotton dress shirt?
I don't know where these little smudges come from. They seem to just naturally manifest themselves. I don't really want to have to wash the whole shirt to remove them since they're always just isolated to the cuff of my sleeve. Any tips?
Answer:
Try a baby wipe.=)
